Ok Summer is here well not officially June 21st to be exact but here in The Atl (Hot Atlanta) starts Mid April or May with high's 80's to 90's. Since it is so hot in Atlanta I don't like to wear a lot of clothes. I like to wear clothes that are light weight in fabric...Linen which is my favorite to wear during hot summer months, and cotton, anything in a Linen Cargo or A-line skirt... or cute maxi skirt I all so like the Bermuda shorts for us( Mature Classy Women) they are easy to dress up and down, pair them with some Wedges or thong sandals... Cute halter tops and Tanks are a must for me .Sunglasses to protect your eyes, a sharp Fedora for those bad hair days and to keep the rays from beaming down on your head, a Light weight summer scarf for those cool summer nights <3 last but not least a outfit is not complete without a Chic Summer Purse/ Hand Bag & a pair of Silver or Gold Hoop earrings. I am officially starting my Bucket List again, I don't know why I stopped hmm....anyway I am starting my new list with Australia....so beautiful a place I have to visit definitely before I kick the Bucket. Australia is not a state but a country, huge huge and so pretty. What got me really hooked was watching Oprah when she brought all of her guest to Australia she spoke so highly of it...even though I v always wanted to go even more now. We are Planning on going for our 50th Birthdays, myself , beau and hopefully we can afford to take Quinton (i would so love for him to go he would love it)...it is a dooable trip money wise, anywhere between 1,800 to 3,000 per person....now this is when we will have all of our debit paid off ......check out some of the pics, the first one is Opera house (landMark), our precious Kola Bears and the Great Barrier Reef...largest in the world, people say you can see it from space hmm I don't know maybe......A must for everyone to see before we kick the Bucket.

Ok still snow bound for about 3 days now...but not tomorrow oh no! I have to get back to the land of the living lmbo...In the meantime I can't seem to finish my book of the month Midnight by Sistha Soulja Instead I am replacing it with Terry McMillan new book Getting To HappyThe Sequel to Waiting to Exhale. I could not get into Midnight, long and drawn out book I am in the middle of the book and we are still getting to know him, by that time something should be happening right hmm. I am already into Getting to Happy, so far so good 10th chapter , keeping me interested and wanting to read more...Any book lovers out there? Ok Lovies, been snowed bound for the past 2 days, perfect time to do some clearing out the clutter out of our closet...a hot mess, I wish I took some before pics, most of the mess was my beau stuff and my papers that I need to shred ,my shoes, well both of our shoes were all over the place, my summer clothes/jeans I can no longer fit, I got rid of a few of those items, the rest I stored in a med/lg tote chest from Walmart. Took us a few hours to get everything organize the way we want it. Just have to buy a few Baskets/Bins to put our junk in make it look chic like the one's in my post....especially that accessory organizer fabulous for my scarfs.

Decided to put some Christmas Cheer on my blog today. I hope everyone is enjoying this time with Family & Friends. It is not about the gifts so don't stress yourself out trying to find that perfect item. Looking Forward to Christmas morning with my son...he may be a little bit disappointed this year, he did not get a few items on his list, Santa looked everywhere for those items, they were all sold out everywhere hmm ;-( ....after Christmas!! Things were different this year, the malls were terrible, too me anyway, everywhere I went could not find anything I liked. However, still found some ok deals, I bought most of my stuff from Jcp, used my mom discount(thank god for that) found some cute inexpensive gifts yeah for me and I still come out broke mmm ;-)

Tis the season for my favorite seasons of all time Fallllllll... love it, I love the cool & crispness, the leaves changing colors. Not only that, It is time to break out the Sweaters, boots, Jackets/ Coats, Hats, gloves and Blazers. I adore them, I don't know why I stopped wearing them(fashion never goes out of style) anyway here are a few of my favorites, that I will add to my wardrobe this fall. I love the Bottom Blue velvet Blazer, it would look so chic w/a pair of jeans, khaki, skirts, dresses, so versatile a fab piece to have. And the one's above from Express Fashions My favorite out of the three is the the Grey Tweed blazer you will look so pulled together with a blazer like the tweed, and to me tweed looks classy & elegant. Well I think you got the hint, go out and buy a few of these fabulous blazer to add to your fall wardrobe, they 're classic and never go out of style!

I just brought a Grey Cardigan from Target like the one up top for 13 bucks, they come in two different colors emerald green & black, i am going back to get them both nxt week. Chanel Iman.... I had to blog about how pretty her skin is, she has such a natural glow, and it doesn't help that she is what barely 20 lol.... Just got finish reading article in Elle Magaine 21 ways for youthful looking skin How to get youthful skin, was to use essential oils, like Lavender and Calendula also Tea Tree are both perfect for blemishes and minor skin irritations. Be careful with oils, not suppose to use directly on the skin, needs to be diluted with water. I would put the Lavender in my bath or get a sm spray water bottle, use to spray a little on your face in the morning. To keep her skin glowing Chanel Inman uses Lavender everyday before bedtime.

What do you guys think...they fit so nice, the liquorish color ones with leg zipper fits like a glove, a little big around the waist, they come in sm,med & lg i think i need a sm especially if i am planning on losing 10 more pounds, the second pair Army green skinny cargo fit beautifully i love them, and the denim drk wash leggins r sharp too love that kinda of jean wash, looks classy. Next is some cute shirts, sweaters, more jeans boot cut, boyfriend jean, boots, shoes, sandals, flats, heals, jacket, coat......a wholllllle new wardrobe, piece by piece so excited to start doing a little shopping here or there.

I hope everyone enjoyed there end of summer celebrations, summer came and went so fast! unbelievable. It has been awhile sense I v blogged about anything, was not in the mood, dealing with daily life stresses. I wanted to tell u guys about all of the Fashion disaster @ Mansion Elan Ludacris Labor Day Weekend Bash w/ a few celebrities, a hot mess. We went Saturday because Usain Bolt Jamaica Track Star was suppose to be there, and we wanted to meet and take some pictures. We got there @ 10 doors open @ 9:30, as soon as we walked up I new it was a young crowd, 21 & over ladies free...so there were nothing but young hoochie mama's mmm, I felt so old, we thought we were doing something with what we had on, I could not find anything to wear all of my clothes r way to big for me now so i had nothing form fitting & sexy, I had make due with a pair of slim black pants and print halter top mmm and my babe he had on a nice dress shirt and a pair jeans blk klocks, haha lol we r so outdated so sad. Anyway, I never seen so many Hoochie Mama tight short short dresses in my life, all of the girls were dress the same, short, tight and stank lol. Girls had on those blk shiny metallic leggings OMG not one looked good in them, u have to have the body not filled with cellulite and jelly lol...this one girl had on peach shiny 1080's aerobic leggings w/a tan tank w/ white crochet shrub, and white chunky sandals UGH ! Their were a few that dress classy & sexy, I saw a few cute Rompers, leggings, tight ass bandage dresses some done classy and some nasty....Oh and I was checking out some cute hair cuts too, Weaves of course, wedge bobs, sharp short cuts, naturals, curly weaves. Our night ended w/ out getting the chance to meet Usain Bolt, he never showed up, we stayed until 10 till 5 so pist, but we did get a chance to meet Van Diesel, saw sexy ass Tyreese, Ron Artest L.A Lakers, Chris Brown, Larenze Tate, and a guess a few other ppl were there. Overall we had a decent time, got the chance to get out of the house had a few xtra dollars to spend so all was good!!!!

I can't believe Fourth of July is this coming weekend so crzy . I was just sitting here thinking about my plans for the July 4th, it just depends if I will have the kids for the weekend if so i have to plan something fun & creative on a very limited budget...i am pretty good @ finding things to do for the low low. I was thinking about of course buying some fireworks, my son got so mad @ me last yr for not buying the right ones ;-( Baking some fourth of July cup cakes & cookies (maybe) take the kids to Joann's and or Michael's to buy some inexpensive craft items for them to do, and of course they will be swimming all day, and if i have some xtra xtra xtra$$$ go to toys r us to buy some outdoor toys for them to have fun with because i am so tired of them sitting in the house allllllllll dayyyyyy lonnnggggg I am so done with that. Just finish reading an interview on Heidi Klum in the June addition of RedBook. I like her, she's beautiful inside & out. I love the interview, she just talked about her life w/Seal & the kids, how she keeps it hot in and out of the bedroom, how she balances all of that and still be happy..."don't be afraid of change, surround yourself with positive ppl, smile AND FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, TOSS THOSE BAGGY SWEATS!" luv that. When French couturier Pierre Balmain founded his house in 1945, he, Christian Dior, and Cristobal Balenciaga were the design giants responsible for reenergizing lavish couture dressing after World War II. Balmain’s elegant, super-feminine looks were favorites among European royalty and Hollywood fashion plates like Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Sophia Loren. Since Balmain’s death in 1982, the glory days have dwindled. His assistant, Erik Mortensen, took over until 1990, and two years later, Oscar de la Renta joined the house. De la Renta designed Balmain couture from 1993 to 2002, and Laurent Mercier took over in 2003. But the house soon fell into financial hard times and was forced to file for bankruptcy. Investors revived Balmain in 2005, and brought on designer Christophe Decarnin, fresh from a decade's work at Paco Rabanne. And for a label that was once known for ultraelegant evening attire with a draping and pleating focus, Decarnin's appointment took it toward tough-chic, thigh-grazing, body-skimming looks—a sensibility that embraces the quintessential trendsetting French party-girl. Owner Alain Hivelin claims that sales have doubled since Decarnin's appointment, projecting 2009 to amass $28 million in revenue (the clothes are notoriously expensive—a sparkly tee is $3,000, dresses are $12,000 to $22,000, and jackets are $5,000). Expansions are also in the works, adding staff, a shoe line with Giuseppe Zanotti, and the label's first men's collection in Paris in January 2009.

TRIBUTE TO ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

Alexander McQueen dropped out of school at age 16 to pursue a career in fashion design, learning tailoring on Savile Row and pattern making from costumiers Angels and Bermans. He showed his degree collection fresh out of the Central Saint Martins Masters program in 1994, which was bought in its entirety by style icon and fashion editor Isabella Blow. The label is known for its dramatic, gorgeously constructed pieces, combining elements of British tailoring with French couture. Signature looks included billowy dresses cut in hourglass silhouettes, frock coats paired with skinny pants, sharp, angular suiting, and darkly romantic gowns covered in intricate embroidery and lace. Gucci Group acquired 51 percent of the label in 2000. In 2004, McQueen designed his first menswear collection and was named British Menswear Designer of the Year by the British Fashion Council. The brand introduced fragrances in 2003 and 2005 (Kingdom and MyQueen) and in January 2006 launched McQ, a more affordable, denim-based ready-to-wear line including menswear, womenswear, and accessories. McQueen flagships stores are in London, New York, Milan, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, and franchised stores are in Istanbul and Moscow. Tragically, McQueen was found dead in his London apartment in February 2010. The cause of death was apparently suicide.

OK. THIS WEEK I AM ON A PAID VACATION FROM WORK. THE PERFECT TIME FOR ME TO DO SOME ORGANIZATION. RIGHT NOW I AM IN THE PROCESS OF CLEANING OUT MY MOTHER STORAGE UNIT, WHICH I PAY $80 A MONTH I AM CLOSING IT DOWN BECAUSE I JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT. ANYWAY! MY MOM HAS HUNDREDS OF DVDS & VHS TAPES THAT WOULD FIT UNDERNEATH MY STAIRS IN OUR HALL CLOSET. THE PIC ABOVE SHOWS YOU HALF OF IT (MINUS) THE XMAS PAPER. I LOVE THESE VASES FROM CRATE&BARREL FOR ONLY $6.95 I THOUGHT ABOUT GIVING THEM AS XMAS GIFTS FOR MY SON TEACHERS. EVERY YEAR I USUALLY HAVE QUINTON BUY HIS TEACHERS SOMETHING JUST TO SHOW APPRECIATION FOR BEING GOOD AND DEDICATED TEACHERS.
